5. |
To suspend gauges, jigs &
fixtures, pendant station, switch button of hoists. |
6. |
In case of de-oxidation, water
washing of plating work with raising & lowering of work, etc. |
|
|
Criteria of selection for the best suitable model: |
Select the correct model for the
weight of tools or instruments, which will be hung. Weight means
total weight i.e. tool + cable + hose + other accessories. For
example, if the weight of the tool is 14 kg and the weight of the
accessory is 3 kg totaling to a weight of 17 kg, so you should
select the range of 15 - 22 kg (Part No. TUSB - 1522).
If the total weight is on the border of 2 models, select the larger
model since this will benefit you as the balancer will have a longer
life.
Instructions to use Spring Balancer: |
1. |
Mount the balancer such that they do
not collide with the structure. |
2. |
Keep the balancers uneven such that
they do not collide with each other. |
3. |
Attach the secondary support cable
or chain to follow the moving of tools. |
4. |
Adjust the main spring tension to be
appropriate to the weight of the tool hung. |
5. |
The main spring tension should be
set in the middle of its capacity. For increasing the tension
turn the worm clockwise and for decreasing the tension turn the
worm anti-clockwise. |
6. |
For maximum operator efficiency
and balancer life the load balancer should always be mounted
directly over the work area, with the load perpendicular to the
floor when in use. Working with the load not perpendicular
caused operator fatigue and excessive wear and tear on the
balancer cable and drum. If it is necessary to continually move
the balancer and tool from one position to another, a system of
trolleys and runaways can be used. It is strongly recommended
that all balancers be mounted overhead having a secondary
support chain attached, to prevent the possibility of the
balancer accidentally falling. The length of the chain should be
kept to the absolute minimum. |

The Advantage & Specialty of TULEX Spring Balancers against others: |
Tulex 'TUSB' series of Spring
Balancers are specially designed to free the operator from carrying
the weight of the tools. The tools can be pulled down with least
force, without any strain and fatigue. Handling of the tool becomes
very easy as the load and pressure required for a particular
operation is counter balanced in the mechanism of the Spring
Balancer itself. The operation is free from gravitational force. |
|
Housing of Spring Balancer: |
The main housing and cover is
pressure die cast or gravity die cast from superior grade aluminum
for maximum resistance against impact loads and handling ease. Upper
support assembly is solid steel and in full contact with the steel
support pins that attaches it to the housing. The cables are
stranded steel cables. |
|
Tapered and Straight Cable Drum Models: |
The first few lightweight models have
the modern straight cable drum design. The heavier models have the
unique tapered cable drum design, which matches the middle turns of
spring where the torque build up is constant. This design provides
smooth, even cable tension throughout the entire length of the rope
travel. |
|
External Tension Adjustment Arrangement: |
No special tools are required to
adjust the external tension. This can be easily done and is
accessible from the floor. The tension can be set at the exact
requirement through a hardened worm gear system. |
|
Top Hook: |
Top hook allows full 360 degrees
swivel rotation. This positions the balancer for the easiest cable
flow and thus prolongs the cable rope life. |
|
Containerized Main Spring: |
Part Numbers TUSB-1522 to TUSB-100120
comes with complete containerized (cartridge type) main spring. This
eliminates the need for maintenance personnel to handle the springs
which are loose and dangerous. |
|
Automatic Drum Lock: |
If the spring tension declines
sharply an automatic locking mechanism immediately engages
preventing the load from falling. |
|
Manual Drum Lock: |
Cables and tools can be changes
easily by engaging the manual drum lock. After tools or cable has
been replaced - with full load attached, manual drum lock can be
released. Never release manual drum lock without attaching full
load. This can be done on the job site in a matter of minutes,
without removing tension on the balancer cable. This convenience
makes change over safe, simple and quick reducing costly downtime. |
